Brainspotting: A Powerful Tool for Healing

Sometimes, the things that hurt us most live beyond words—in the body, the nervous system, the subconscious. Brainspotting is a powerful, neuroscience-based therapy that helps us access and heal those deeper layers. It’s one of the tools I use to support clients in moving through trauma, emotional pain, and stuck patterns.

Originally developed by Dr. David Grand, Brainspotting works by using eye position to tap into the brain’s natural ability to process and release unprocessed experiences. It’s gentle, focused, and incredibly effective—especially when traditional talk therapy isn’t quite enough.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a body-based therapy that helps identify, process, and heal unresolved trauma and emotional blocks. It’s based on the idea that where you look affects how you feel. By focusing on a particular eye position—your “brain spot”—we can access deep emotional and somatic experiences that may be holding you back.

What to Expect

Our sessions will begin in a calm, grounded space. We’ll talk about what’s going on for you and what you’d like to focus on. From there, I’ll guide you in finding the brainspot connected to your experience, and we’ll work together to gently stay with whatever comes up. This process allows your brain and body to do the work they’re naturally wired to do—heal.

You’ll remain fully in control throughout the session. I’ll be there to support and attune to you every step of the way, helping you feel safe, empowered, and deeply seen.

Brainspotting can be a transformative addition to your healing journey.
